As mentioned in the home page,the loan of Roger`s layout was the stimulation to discuss our immediate needs for running facilities.
At our April meeting Paul and Trevor agreed to build four joinable boards with a view to establishing a test and running facility, with a view to building a planned Group layout in the not too distant future.
These boards were available for inspection and planning at our May 11th. meeting. They are hopefully the neucleus for a good future.

At the end of June my Wife and I had to depart to North Wales due to Mother in Law becoming seriously ill. Our stay took longer than anticipated, and we returned at the end of September. Obviously, this seriously curtailed my Railway Modelling, Group work and computer activity.

Meeting Thursday 11th. October.
I returned to our group meeting last Thursday evening (11th. October). I found there had been progress.
The four boards put together are fully double tracked, providing a very good test and running in facility - see Gallery !
The fortnightly meeting trial period appears to have been a success, and during the Winter months (possibly until early/mid Spring) meetings are to be held every two weeks (second and fourth Thursday monthly).
The Group have agreed to give consideration to our direction. Are we to build an exibition layout, or are there any other suggestions.
